The Stony Brook Piano Project is an annual collaboration between more than 25 graduate pianists at Stony Brook University to put together a marathon concert series of solo piano music centered around a single theme or group of composers.

This year's Piano Project is a 90th birthday celebration of the living American composer George Crumb and the composers who had a strong influence on his music: Debussy, Bartók and Cowell. Pianists from Stony Brook University's graduate program (including faculty members Gilbert Kalish and Christina Dahl) will come together to perform selected works in two concerts, one at 5:00PM and one at 7:30PM.
